Who We Are
Built By People Who Have Done The Work
Our Story

MyPlannery didn’t start as a company idea. It started as a marriage.

I’m Ammar. I’ve spent more than two decades building payment and financial systems at scale. My wife, Ria, is a luxury event planner and founder of Ria Events & Design. She still runs events today.

When you marry someone in this industry, support becomes literal. You lift heavy pieces into venues and go pick up seating charts from vendors. You wear all black and unintentionally stand like a secret service agent, and guests assume you brought security. It hasn’t become an official add-on service, but it’s been suggested.

But what changed us wasn’t the execution of the event day. It was everything no one sees.

The proposals. The deposit follow-ups. The payment schedules. The quiet margin math running in the background of every decision. Did we price this right? Are we actually keeping enough of what we earned?

From two very different vantage points, we saw the same gap. The industry was adapting to software that wasn’t built around how money actually moves in this space.

So we started building alongside her real-world roadblocks, testing ideas against live projects and refining them with feedback from industry peers who were facing the same challenges.

When other owners shared the same story, it became clear this wasn’t just ours.

We started MyPlannery independently because we wanted the freedom to build differently. Not to chase feature lists. Not to follow hype cycles. Not to ship tools simply to justify higher pricing later.

You won’t see us adding surface-level features just to keep up with trends. We believe technology should earn its place by improving how your business actually operates, not by inflating complexity or cost. When we introduce advanced capabilities, they will be thoughtful, deliberate, and aligned to real usage, not bundled in ways that force you to pay for tools you don’t need. That’s not where your margin is won or lost.

We are building the financial backbone for event and hospitality businesses, combining payment infrastructure with the financial intelligence owners need to manage client deposits, refine payment strategy, protect margin, gain cash flow clarity, and grow confidently.

Built by people who’ve done the work. Designed for the people still doing it.

We act with clarity and integrity. If something benefits us but harms the businesses we serve, we don’t do it.
Own The Outcome
We are accountable for results. Not just what we ship, but what happens next.
Build What We’d Use
If we wouldn’t trust it to run our own business, we don’t ship it.

What is MyPlannery and who is it built for?
MyPlannery is a payments-first business platform built for event and hospitality professionals who want more control over their money. It’s designed for planners, venues, rental companies, DJs, florists, caterers, and other service-based businesses that manage client invoices, deposits, and payment schedules.

While purpose-built for the events industry, it’s also a natural fit for any service-based business that sends proposals, invoices clients, and collects payments.
Can I send proposals, contracts, and collect deposits through MyPlannery?
Yes. You can send proposals, attach contracts, and collect deposits or scheduled payments in one simple flow. Everything stays connected from booking to payment, so you can choose how and when you get paid without juggling multiple tools.
What is the MyPlannery Partner Rewards Program?
The MyPlannery Partner Rewards Program is designed to reward businesses that use ACH payments. Because ACH typically carries lower processing costs and more predictable outcomes, we return a portion of those ACH-related processing economics to you as a fee rebate. The more you process through ACH, the greater your potential rebate. You can estimate your potential rewards using the calculator on our pricing page.
What is credit card surcharging and how does it work?
MyPlannery will soon offer optional credit card surcharging so you can recover up to 3% of credit card processing costs. Debit cards are never surcharged.

Surcharging requires card brand registration and ongoing state and network compliance. MyPlannery handles enrollment and provides the tools, disclosures, and guidance needed to help you stay compliant, so you don’t have to manage it manually.

• Card brand registration
• Required disclosures
• Built-in safeguards
• Ongoing rule updates

You can enable it account-wide or per invoice. A small fee applies for this managed service.
What payment methods can I accept with MyPlannery?
MyPlannery supports all major credit cards, debit cards, and ACH payments. These payment methods can be used across common scenarios like deposits, milestone payments, giving you flexibility in how you get paid. You can choose the payment methods that make the most sense for your business and your clients.
How fast do payouts arrive?
Standard card payouts typically arrive within 2–3 business days. ACH payments can take longer to settle. If you need funds faster, MyPlannery offers Instant Payout, an optional feature that allows eligible card funds to be deposited in as little as 30 minutes (including weekends). Instant payout is subject to a 1.50% fee.
Is MyPlannery secure and compliant?
Yes. MyPlannery is built with security and compliance as core requirements, not afterthoughts. Payments are processed using industry-standard security practices and compliant payment infrastructure. Sensitive financial data is handled according to applicable card network and regulatory requirements.
